Sipay becomes the first European PSP to obtain PCI DSS 4.0 certification, the latest version of the international security standard

The company has once again demonstrated its commitment to data security, as well as the capacity and robustness of its technological systems and processes to adapt quickly to the necessary changes required by PCI DSS for renewal and compliance with its standards. The rigorous and comprehensive audit was conducted by A2Secure (an IT security consulting and auditing firm).

The PSP, with nearly 30 years of experience offering digital payment solutions for businesses with physical stores, online presence, telephone payments, tokenization, and more, has obtained PCI DSS version 4.0 certification for all its products and services. Its evolution into an intelligent PSP, through the use of advanced analytics and machine learning to deliver greater customer value, demands intensive data usage. This certification guarantees that the systems and processes involved in the processing, transmission, and storage of this data remain secure and private at all levels.

“Obtaining this certification demonstrates once again our commitment to our clients and partners. We are in a context of high exposure of sensitive user information, which can increase the feeling of vulnerability, making the fear of fraudulent use of this data one of the biggest concerns for consumers. In this sense, our mission is to continue working to offer the best payment solutions that guarantee the highest security, both for our merchants and their customers,” says José Luis Nevado, CEO and founder of the company.
