COOKIE POLICY

What are cookies?

The website owned by Sipay Plus, SL. (hereinafter “the web” or the “website”) uses cookies and/or similar technologies that store and retrieve information when you browse. In general, these technologies can serve very diverse purposes, such as, for example, recognizing you as a user, obtaining information about your browsing habits, or personalizing the way in which content is displayed.   The user can configure their browser to notify and reject the installation of the cookies sent by the web, without this impairing the ability to access the content of said web, but the operating quality of the website may decrease.   The specific uses we make of these technologies are described below.

What types of cookies exist?

Cookies, according to their Duration, can be divided into:

Session cookies These are designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a website. They are usually used to store information that is only worth keeping for the provision of the requested service. They expire when the user closes the browser.
Persistent cookies   These are cookies in which the data remains stored on the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a defined period depending on when the objective they serve is fulfilled (for example, to keep the user identified in the Services) or when they are deleted manually.

According to their Owner, they can be divided into:

First-party cookies These are cookies sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the publisher itself and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
Third-party cookies These are cookies sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain that is not managed by the publisher, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.

Additionally, according to their purpose, Cookies can be classified as follows:

Technical cookies These are cookies that allow the user to browse a website, platform or application and to use the different options or services that exist on it, including those that the publisher uses to enable the management and operation of the website and to enable its functions and services such as, for example, identifying the session or controlling traffic and data communication.
Preferences or personalization cookies This type of Cookie remembers your preferences for the tools found in the services, so that you do not have to configure the service again each time you visit. By way of example, this type includes:
Volume settings for video or sound players.
The video streaming speeds that are compatible with your browser.

Cookies for Geo-location These Cookies are used to find out which country you are in when a service is requested. This Cookie is completely anonymous, and is only used to help orient the content to your location.

Registration cookies Registration Cookies are generated once the user has registered or subsequently opened their session, and are used to identify them in the services with the following objectives:
To keep the user identified so that, if they close a service, the browser or the computer and at another time or another day return to said service, they will still be identified, thus facilitating their browsing without having to identify themselves again. This functionality can be removed if the user clicks the “log out” functionality, so that this Cookie is deleted and the next time the user enters the service they will have to log in to be identified.
To check whether the user is authorized to access certain services, for example, to participate in a contest.

Analysis or measurement cookies Each time a User visits a service, a tool from an external provider generates an analytical Cookie on the user’s computer. This Cookie, which is only generated on the visit, will be used on future visits to the Web Services to anonymously identify the visitor. The main objectives pursued are:
To allow the anonymous identification of browsing users through the “Cookie” (it identifies browsers and devices, not people) and therefore the approximate counting of the number of visitors and their trend over time.
To anonymously identify the most visited and therefore most attractive content for users.
To know whether the user accessing is new or a returning visitor.
Important: Unless the user decides to register on a Web service, the “Cookie” will never be associated with any personal data that could identify them. Such Cookies will only be used for statistical purposes that help optimize the experience of Users on the site.

Cookies for behavioural advertising This type of “Cookies” allows the information of the ads shown to each anonymous user in the Web Services to be expanded. Among others, the duration or frequency of display of advertising placements, the interaction with them, or the user’s browsing patterns and/or behaviours are stored, as they help to build an advertising interest profile. In this way, they make it possible to offer advertising in line with the user’s interests.

Third-party advertising cookies In addition to the advertising managed by the Web in its Services, the Web offers its advertisers the option of serving ads through third parties (“AdServers”). In this way, these third parties can store Cookies sent from the Web Services coming from the Users’ browsers, as well as access the data stored in them.
